My name is Alfonso Corral , better known in artistic circles as Poncho . I am a violinist, composer, writer and computer engineer. Professional violin degree and The associated Board of the Royal School of England. I have studied composition, receiving classes from professors Julio Estrada, James Dilon and Jorge Fernández-Guerra.

In the field of classical music, I was a member of the Youth Orchestra of the University of Valladolid, (Young Festival of Classical Music of Segovia and lyrical season of the Calderón theater in Madrid).  I am currently a member of the Dolci Corde string quartet.

I am also interested in Flamenco:  I have collaborated with the AC Danza Española , Compañía Sentidos , Toca Madera and Escuela de Flamenco de C. Redondo and E. Sanz . I founded the Quinteto Aranjuez , in order to delve into the Spanish classical repertoire.

Passionate about Indian music, in 2013 I traveled to New Delhi to receive classes from Master Sharat Chandra Srivastava and his disciple Sachin Kumar Rohila. As a composer and musician I participated, among other  works, in The Narrow Path of Akka.

As a Jazz violinist, I have been part of the Istanbul ensemble and Barmanouche (Universijazz de Valladolid, with the Eddie Palmieri Quartet); Manusser (swing, gypsy), and Tarsius Quartet  (free-jazz).

Founder of Raga beat Project of Electronic Music.

Co-founder of Karton Boulevard Imbérica (Balkan, Arab, Flemish and Indian sounds). In 2001 the group won the first prize at the Ljibljana festival (Slovenia) and then recorded their first album with Nufolk from Sonifolk.

Other formations: Mystery chain ( Organic Electronic Music); Silent Eight (Contemporary music octet with own compositions)

I have made music for theater (The Weaver of Dreams, Buero Vallejo. Caligula, Mario Camus. Galileo Galilei and The Opera of the Poor, Bertolt Brecht)

In 2017 I founded the production company Canorme , from which I manage and coordinate various musical projects.
